About GLS
Independent standards for the future of learning
Global Learning Standards exists because online, digital and immersive learning outgrew the quality frameworks built for classrooms. GLS provides a structured, evidence-based accreditation route designed for how people actually learn now.
What makes GLS different
GLS accreditation is built on a structured criteria database rather than a checklist or a subjective audit narrative. Each criterion carries its clause, requirement, required evidence, assessment type and weight. AI performs the mapping and analysis at scale; qualified GLS reviewers make every accreditation decision. Nothing is accredited by machine alone.
Who we accredit
Independent training providers, professional bodies, corporate learning and development teams, higher and further education providers, e-learning platforms, CPD providers, and creators of VR, XR and AR learning experiences.
Reference frameworks
GLS accreditation incorporates applicable principles and requirements drawn from ISO 21001:2025 (educational organisation management systems), alongside recognised practice in instructional design, accessibility, assessment validity and learner support.
Important positioning statement
GLS is an independent accreditation body. GLS is not ISO and is not affiliated with ISO. GLS does not issue ISO certification, and GLS accreditation is not equivalent to, nor a substitute for, ISO certification. Where GLS references ISO 21001:2025, it does so to indicate the principles informing the GLS framework.
